New Men's Life Group Study:
LIFE. MONEY.HOPE

Our next study beginning on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 and will feature financial expert Dave Ramsey. This study will continue for 3 weeks and will present biblical advise on how to handle the difficult times we are all facing.
Each week we will be viewing a short 30 minute video and then spend our remaining time discussing the issues and how we can grow from the advice given.

FC Community Egg Hunt 2009
Many of you joined with us on Wednesday evening for a time of prayer. We focused our prayers for the egg hunt that would be happening today. As we stood in the church parking lot facing towards SV Middle School, we prayed that God would be in everything that we did. Here is a short video of the event. I think you'll agree that God answered your prayers. Thank you for your willingness to pray.

Men's Life Group schedule change for this Wednesday

Just a reminder, that this Wednesday, April 8th (and this Wednesday only) we will be postponing our regular time together to join with the church-wide prayer meeting. Make plans to enjoy dinner with us in the Activity Center then stroll over to the church sanctuary at 6:30pm for a time of united prayer. We need the Men’s Life Groupto represent and show by our actions that we intend to “live the message”. Don’t be thinking that someone else will be there in attendance for you, be there yourself!

I’ll be looking forward to seeing you.

* move all furniture out of bedrooms
* clean all floors
* sand & prep floors
* apply 1st urethane coat
* Measure and cut all floor base
* Patch & texture coat wall repairs

Saturday, March 28, 2009 9am - 1:30pm
* Paint all repaired areas
* sand & clean floors
* apply 2nd coat of urethane
* misc repairs
* apply 3rd coat of urethane
* move furniture back into bedrooms.

Chase the Lion - Week 1 - Defying Odds

Most men find themselves playing it safe and refusing to take risks that require defying odds they feel may not be clearly in their favor. Life is full of risks and some of the greatest challenges we will face in life are disguised as God's greatest opportunities. The next time you encounter a challenge remember Ephesian 3:20 - Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.We serve a BIG God.

What lion do you need to chase?

• Normal people rarely face their fears!
• Normal people don't chase lions! (they run from them)
• Normal people die with regrets.
• Don't want to be normal?... Extraordinary people chase lions!

Chase The Lion Study Begins!

Our new study entitled "Chase the Lion" begins this Wednesday, March 11th. The "In a Pit" books have arrived and will be available for purchase this Sunday, March 8th or at the Men's Life Groups Meeting on Wednesday. The cost of the book is $8

The first lesson is "Defy Odds" and is covered in Chapters 1 & 2 of the book and we'll be reviewing the sermon notes from this Sunday's message.

A challenge was given last week to the Men's Life Group in preparation for this study.

You were asked to do 2 things:

#1 To begin praying now for the study

#2 To ask God what He wanted you personally to experience & learn during this series

We are anticipating that God wants to challenge and equip you for the exciting next steps He has planned for you & Faith Chapel through this study. Come along as we "chase the lion"!

Home Improvement Project-Part 1

This is a group photo of our Friday Night Crew. They were the ones responsible for moving furniture out of the bedrooms, tearing out the carpet and pad, loading it into an awaiting pickup truck, and hauling it away. There were others that removed tack strips and too many staples and nails to count from the floors in preparation for sanding in the morning. Thank you to all of you that came both Friday night & Saturday and gave a helping hand in the first part of this 2 part project. We are determined to "live the message".

New Life Group Study begins Mar. 11

Beginning Wednesday, March 11, 2009 we will begin our new Life Group study entitled "Chase the Lion". This will be a sermon-based study following each week's sermon taught by Pastor Brian Ross. This sermon-series is taken from the book, "In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day" by Mark Batterson. Books will be available for purchase prior to the start of the study.
